Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets struck the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

He said energy workers and officials were anticipating more assaults.
